Pennell Girls on the Run Team Completes Practice 5K

The Pennell Elementary School Girls on the Run team wrapped up their training season with a successful practice 5K on April 16.

This event marked the culmination of weeks of training, team-building, and personal growth. With over 40 girls in third-fifth grade on our team this year participating this season, and a group of dedicated teacher coaches, the practice 5K was a joyful celebration of progress and perseverance.

Girls on the Run is about so much more than running - it’s a space where every girl is celebrated, empowered, and supported. Through engaging lessons, teamwork, and fun activities, the program helps participants build confidence, form lasting friendships, and realize their limitless potential.

We’re so proud of our team for their dedication, determination, and positive spirit throughout the season! The official Girls on the Run 5K will take place on Saturday, May 2 at 9:30 AM at Rose Tree Park (1671 N Providence Rd, Media).
