Mrs. Bray Honored with Heart of Learning Award
Penn-Delco School District is thrilled to announce that Colleen Bray, a dedicated 4th-grade teacher at Pennell Elementary, has been named a recipient of this year’s prestigious Citadel Heart of Learning Award!
Mrs. Bray was surprised with the honor during a faculty meeting on March 14, where Citadel representative Lisa Albany recognized her outstanding contributions. To make the moment even more special, her family was there to celebrate alongside her.
One nomination described Mrs. Bray as:
"A remarkable educator who embodies the essence of what it means to inspire and nurture young minds. Her classroom is a beacon of stability, trust, and growth, where every student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential."
Another nomination shared:
"We all have those teachers we remember decades later—the ones who left a lasting impact and were truly beloved. I am certain that years from now, my son will refer to Mrs. Bray as that teacher."
With over 25 years of teaching experience - more than a decade at Pennell - Mrs. Bray has shaped countless young minds with care, encouragement, and a passion for learning.
Please join us in celebrating Mrs. Bray’s well-deserved recognition and the incredible impact she continues to make on our students and community!
