Penn-Delco Earns National Recognition for Music Education Excellence
Penn-Delco School District has once again been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) Award from The NAMM Foundation, recognizing the district’s outstanding support and commitment to music education. This marks the fifth time Penn-Delco has received this national distinction.
Now in its 27th year, the BCME program highlights school districts and schools across the country for their exemplary dedication to music education and their efforts to ensure equitable access to high-quality music learning as part of a well-rounded education.
The award is part of a nationwide initiative that recognizes more than 1,000 public, private, charter, and parochial school systems for excellence in music education. In 2026, recipients were selected through a comprehensive application and review process evaluating factors such as funding, instructional time, student participation, facilities, and community support. All applications are independently reviewed and verified by WolfBrown, a research and evaluation firm specializing in education and the arts.
This recognition reflects Penn-Delco’s continued commitment to providing meaningful, high-quality music experiences for all students across K-12.
