Penn-Delco Celebrates First-Ever Kindergarten Signing Days

The Penn-Delco School District recently concluded its inaugural Kindergarten Signing Days, a new spring tradition designed to officially welcome rising kindergarten students and their families into the district community.

Held across all four elementary schools- Aston, Coebourn, Parkside, and Pennell - the events brought together hundreds of incoming kindergarten families for an evening of connection, information, and celebration.

Families who have completed kindergarten registration were invited to visit their child’s assigned school to take part in a special signing moment, marking the beginning of their Penn-Delco journey. The events also provided opportunities to meet kindergarten staff, connect with building nurses, learn about before and after school care through Today’s Child, and explore school transportation, including a look at a Penn-Delco school bus.

Designed as both a welcoming experience and an informational evening, Kindergarten Signing Days helped families feel prepared and connected ahead of the upcoming school year.

District staff across all four buildings worked collaboratively to host the events and greet families as they took their first official steps into the school community.

Penn-Delco extends its sincere appreciation to all families who attended and participated in this new tradition. The district looks forward to continuing to build on this experience as it welcomes the Class of 2039 this fall.

Families who were unable to attend or who still need to complete registration are encouraged to contact their assigned elementary school or visit the district website for more information.
