Elementary Students Celebrate International Day of Peace

Although the International Day of Peace fell on a weekend this year, our elementary students found a way to honor the day in style. On September 19 and 22, students participated in Pinwheels for Peace, a hands-on activity that celebrates hope, unity, and goodwill.

Students created colorful pinwheels, each decorated with personal messages of peace and positive thoughts. Once complete, the pinwheels were “planted” around the school grounds, creating a vibrant display for the entire school community to enjoy.

This creative project gave students an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of peace in their own lives and contribute to a visual reminder of hope and togetherness. The pinwheels served as a beautiful symbol of how small actions can make a big impact when it comes to spreading kindness and unity.
