Committees 24-25

Committee Chair List - we are currently looking for chairpeople for the Homecoming Parade & Gertrude Hawk Fundraiser.

We run a variety of events that enrich your child’s experience at Pennell during the school year.
We need YOU to help make these events a success.  Take a look below to learn about level of commitment for each event. You can sign up for one or many of these activities! We look forward to working with you!

As Needed
We’re always looking for help with sorting or distributing fundraiser items, setting up for events, clean up, and more

P.S.S.A. Snacks
Organize the treats the PTO supplies to students during PSSA testing in April. One time commitment after/possibly during school hours.

Book Fair
Help children select and purchase books from the book fair vendor. The book fair runs two times a year: once in fall and once in spring. Commitment during school hours.

Special Person’s Dance
This is a new one – a dance party for the kids to bring a special adult in their lives. Looking at a January or February date. Volunteers to help plan, setup, refreshments, and cleanup.

Fall Fest
Annual Fall Festival held in October. Committee heads plan and organize the activities and games. Volunteers needed the day of the event for setup, working game stations, and breakdown.

Yearbook
Work with committee head to build yearbook pages for each class. Coordinate taking pictures at various school events. Ongoing commitment that can be done on home computer outside of school hours.

Holiday Shop
Help students select and purchase gifts. Volunteers needed for set up and two days of sales. One time commitment during the school day in December.

Variety Show
Work with committee heads to organize performances, t-shirts, ticket sales, decorations, concessions, setup, and breakdown.

Hospitality
Volunteer to bake treats for hospitality events held throughout the school year for our teachers and staff.

5th Grade Committee
Work with committee heads to organize events and celebrations for 5th grade students. Can include organizing fundraising ideas and events. Ongoing commitment that meets throughout the school year.

Outdoor Classroom
Planning, maintenance, creating a space the students can use for outdoor learning
